CHyberNation, the tribute to KRISMA from 23 international indie artists, is here!

Krisma (formerly Chrisma) was created in 1976 by Maurizio Arcieri, former member of beat band NEW DADA, who had also published a couple of 7” under his own name.
CHyberNation TributeIn 1976, after the start of an artistic collaboration with his wife Christina Moser, Maurizio asked PolyGram to change the name on his contract from Maurizio to Chrisma.
The duo debuted with two 7” (Amore and U), that we could classify in the sexy sound tradition, very alive at that time.
With these two records Chrisma began a collaboration with Nico Papathanassiou (Vangelis’ brother) resulting in Chinese Restaurant, LP recorded in London, where punk was starting to spread.
After Chinese Restaurant the same team worked on another album (Hibernation). After its release, the band would change its name to Krisma, choosing to play the same innovative and sophisticated electronic music they are still recording today.
Many bands have declared Krisma their models and this is why we decided to build this well-deserved tribute.

Esce il 6 novembre 2009 CHyberNation, il tributo che 23 artisti internazionali hanno dedicato ai KRISMA

La formazione dei Krisma (già Chrisma), nasce nel 1976 per volere di Maurizio Arcieri, ex componente del gruppo beat NEW DADA e autore di alcuni 45 giri pop incisi da solista.
CHyberNation TributeNel 1976, dopo aver cominciato a collaborate artisticamente con la moglie Christina Moser, propone alla PolyGram di convertire il suo contratto da Maurizio a Chrisma.
L’esordio del duo si concretizza con due 45 giri (“Amore” e “U”) che si configurano nell’allora fremente filone del sexy sound.
Con questi due 45 giri i Chrisma iniziano la collaborazione con Nico Papathanassiou (fratello di Vangelis), che porterà alla realizzazione dell’album Chinese Restaurant, registrato a Londra nella nascente atmosfera Punk di quegli anni.
A quel disco ne seguirà un altro, realizzato con lo stesso team (Hibernation) dopo il quale il gruppo cambierà la ragione sociale in Krisma, virando verso un’elettronica ricercata e innovativa, che vive e lavora ancora oggi.
Sono molte le band che negli anni hanno dichiarato di avere nei Krisma dei maestri, ed è la ragione che genera questo doveroso omaggio.
